What is thought to be the best swimming bath of its kind outside the four main centres is taking shape at the Intermediate School. Built by the Otway Construction Co., the new bath will be 100ft by 35ft, with a diving well 10ft deep. Progress with the work has been slowed due to lack of funds, but it is hoped to install the filtration plant next year, and to complete the project as finance becomes arailable.

The site in Childers Road where a local company proposes to build a modern motel with 48 units. First stage, comprising four to six units, should be completed for next summer.
