"Desert Song" Acclaimed

Acclaimed as the finest production in the long history of the Gisborne Operatic Society, "The Desert Song" concluded a record season of six nights on November 2. As word went around town of the excellence of the production, seats became hard to get, and capacity audiences left the theatre more than satisfied with the show and its talented cast.

At the conclusion of the final performance of "the Desert Song," the producer, Mrs Pat Woodford, who was highly praised for her work, receives a tribute from the Mayor, Mr Barker.
