Yachting Season Opens

The sight of boats on the water at Gisborne, under sail or power, is a sure sign that summer is here, and this year there will be More boats about than ever before. The Gisborne Yachting and Power Boat Club began its season at Labour weekend, when conditions were ideal.

The urge to take to the water seems to be affecting all ago groups. An unofficial report states that up to 60 craft have been built in Gisborne this year.
