Brigade Makes Good Save

Could anything save a house so apparently doomed to destruction as that pictured above?

The answer to this question is Yes, and the proof was given earlier this south by the Gisborne Fire Brigade.

Handicapped by a number of adverse factors (the house was five miles from the fire station, there was a strong southerly wind, water for the fire had to be organised from a creek) the brigade fought an exciting battle with the flames. The score when the smoke died away: three rooms badly damaged, the remainder suffering from smoke and water, the house still standing.
