The Fijians in Gisborne

With their first match scheduled for Gisborne, the touring Fijian Rugby football team spent nearly a week here preparing for their tour.

For once the weather was indifferent to the fact that there were notable visitors in the city, and chose to remain cold, with alternating sun and showers for most of their stay.

But the Fijians, gentlemen all, declared the warmth of the local hospitality more than compensated for the weather.
