What hit the Hume Block? A tornado? An earthquake?

By the look of the picture above it could have been both. Truth is the pictures show clearing work in progress on the big block of land in back of the Childers Road–Lytton Road corner, where the construction of a new block of State houses has already started.

Giant, twisted gum trees covering land have been there as long as anybody can remember.
