Mortleman––Tombleson. The first wedding in the new Methodist Church was solemnised on July 6, when Lavinia, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. J. Tombleson, Otoke, was married to Peter, elder son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Mortleman, of Matawai.
The attendants, left to right, are Mr Rex Richardson, Motu, Miss Janet Steele, Pehiri, Mr Richard Tombleson, Otoko (brother of the bride), Miss Diana Faram, Otoko, Mr Don Ellmers, of Hamilton (best man), and Mrs Betty Ingham, of Auckland, sister of the bride (matron of honour). The flower girl is Evelyn Tombleson, the bride's cousin.
Future home, Matawai, where the bridegroom is farming.
