Exchange For Manutuke
One of the main steps in the provision of an automatic telephone exchange for Manutuke took place this month when switchgear weighing about a ton was taken from the Gisborne exchange out to the new building at Manutuke.

After being transported by truck to Manutuke, it is unloaded and moved into its new home. Clearance was almost non–existent.
