Plunket Appeal

The Post Office at Gisborne was a busy place on the night of the big radio appeal for the Plunket Society. These pictures show some of the many people, mostly from the Post Office staff and from Station 2XG, who handled the taking and broadcasting of telephone promises.

The total promised for the Gisborne-E.C. district was £2290, of which half goes to the national appeal, and half to the local committees. Proceeds are to enable the Society to keep abreast of the demands being made on it.
