Gisborne's "Quiz Kids", selected after elimination tests, who will compete in the national Knight's Castile conagainst teams broadcasting over 10 other N.Z. stations. Big money is involved in the war against opossums in Waikohu County. This picture from D. S. Aitkenhead, Te Karaka, shows a pile of opossum tokens in the county yard (a strip of skin about 9in. long, and both ears). Each token is worth 2/6, and in one month 11,462 tokens were paid for.

Christened recently at Gisborne was Stephen Robert, infant son of Nancy and Joe Warner, Tokoroa, and formerly of Gisborne.
