The latest kiwi to be caught in the district is shown at the Gisborne Veterinary Club, held by Mr Michael Evans, the club's dispenser. This kiwi was caught in an opossum trap in Anderson's Bush, on the Koranga Valley Road near Matawai, by Mr I. Walker. It lost a claw off one foot, but otherwise was not injured.
