Erosion Rampant

At Sponge Bay and along the shore to Tuahine Point, the insidious work of the sea continues to eat away valuable farm lands. This picture of sunlight and shadow, surf and shore, taken from the hill above the bay, shows how the beach has been extended by the slow collapse of the cliffs at extreme right.
