Visiting their home town of Gisborne for Christmas are cowboy singers Les and Jean Wilson. For four years they have presented hypnotism and cowboy entertainment in towns and cities throughout New Zealand. Two dozen sides have been recorded for HMV and released in Australia and New Zealand. They will present a show in Gisborne this month, and will leave for Australia in the New Year. Mrs Wilson was formerly Miss Jean Calder.

The Children's Special Service Mission is becoming a regular part of holiday activities at Waikanae Beach. This year's programme will run from December 28 to January 6. The picture was taken during last year's campaign.
