Roving Camera

Helping to assure a healthy future for cricket in Gisborne is a boys' Saturday morning competition organised by the Poverty Bay association.

These pictures were taken during the boys' first "knock" of the season. Regular interteam competition has now begun.

Latest addition to Fieldair's topdressing fleet is this Lodestar, pictured at Darton Field after its arrival from Whenuapai.
Bob Allen, shown here with Charlie Brodie, Fieldair's general manager, flew the plane from Caff's Harbour, with Mr Brodie as navigator.
The aircraft has been used around New Guinea in a freight service.
