Beer Garden

The opening of the district's first been garden at the Roseland Hotel, Makaraka, has given Gisborne drinkers a new weapon against the tiring heat of summer.

The lawn is ringed with cabaret–style alcoves, built from pungas, and together with seven tables they provide seating space for 120. Bright sun–shades, a small fountain, trellis work, and creepers give added atmosphere to the garden.
