Mr and Mrs J. A. Davidson, of Ormond, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary recently with a party at Pateley House. Among those who entertained were Mr and Mrs Davidson's 15 grandchildren. Kandid

Mr M. C. Matthews, son of Mr & Mrs C. E. Matthews, of Waerenga-o-kuri, who has returned to this district after four years in Kenya. He went there as a farm supervisor, but spent three years in the Kenya Police Force, assisting in security measures against the Mau Man terrorists. Mr Matthews intends to remain in N.Z.
