275 competitors took part in the annual Eastland Duathlon running and cycling the gruelling 100 kilometres from Gisborne to Te Puia Springs. Men's Open winner was Whakatane's Peter O'Sullivan in a time of 3:43:42 Local Tracey Clissold won the Women's section 4:15:46. The winning team of Brett Ryan, Michael Greaves and Michael Langer took just 3:41:41 to complete the duathlon. Congratulations to all who competed.
