Winners of the 1994 Watties Ross Shield for primary school rugby were Hastings East and Wairoa. Thanks to Jenny Somerville for the photo of the two teams with the Hawkes Bay rugby mascot "Hawkeye" in the background. The tournament was kicked off by All Black Zinzan Brooke & Wairoa prop Daniel Somerville was awarded the Taupo Trophy as outstanding player of the tournament
