ALL BLACK TRIALS

Over 6000 rugby followers watched the first All Black trials held in Gisborne and there would not have been one disappointed person at the end of one of Poverty Bays most exciting rugby days. The talent, size and skills exhibited by the trialists made those at U-Bix Rugby Park realise just what one misses out on through TV coverage compared to seeing a game in the flesh. For the record, 11 tries were scored and the Possibles won 54 - 31
