The rugby season got away to a flying start with 15 teams competing in the DB Draught 7s at Ngatapa. A large crowd was treated to some sparkling rugby with exciting new prospects showing up. The hard ground and hot weather did not deter the players from throwing themselves whole heartedly into the competition and it was good to see teams from Hawkes Bay and the Coast competing.
