COLONIAL COOKING
Stuart Boyle celebrated his 70th Birthday at a party with friends and family held at the Tucker Road property of Jackie and Paddy Boyle. The more than 100 guests sat down to a delicious colonial dinner which was prepared in camp ovens, a traditional method which has become a dying art.
"Ole Tuck" turns the pork In a camp oven that Is more than 140 years old. The cooking takes approximately 4 hours of constant attention. Stuart Boyle began to pass his knowledge and skill to Tuck 8 or 9 years ago and Tuck thinks he has an apprentice lined up to keep the tradition going.
