ARMY VEHICLE RALLY

Eight Waikato families camped at the Showgrounds Motor Camp and were only too happy to show off their vehicles as they made their way to a Rally in Napier. Part of a New Zealand wide club, the vehicles are those used in World War 2 and Korea.

Roy Thatcher who landed in France on D-Day as a member of Treble 7 Staff Car Company, with his 1951 Willys Jeep used in Korea. Roy has rebuilt the Jeep after finding it on a farm north of Auckland.
