Mr C. L. Cox, who has retired as chief surveyor in Gisborne, and Mrs Cox. Mr Cox, who served with the Lands and Survey Department for 40 years, plans to open a private practice.
Mr Steve Jarvis and Mrs Jarvis, daughter of Colonel & Mrs R. F. Gambrill, who left Gisborne today for Singapore. Mr Jarvis, an oil company engineer, has been transferred from Nigeria to Malaya.
Mr Fred Ball, chairman of the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board, who has not sought re-election as president of the N. Z. Electric-Supply Authorities. Association. He has held that post for the last two years. Lloyd Cornish
Mr E. Roderick, who has retired as storeman for Murray Roberts and Co. after 47 years' service. Mr Roderick is well known as a former cricketer, footballer, and hockey player. He is a keen bowler. Kandid
Mr H. S. B. Goddard, who has retired as chief postmaster in Gisborne, & Mrs Goddard. Mr Goddard served the Post and Telegraph Department for 40 years. He was appointed chief postmaster here two years ago. He has now settled in Hamilton.
