Poultry On Show
The Army Hall echoed with the crowings and cluckings of hundreds of birds on July 13-14 when the Poverty Bay Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club held its annual show.
Some of the show's best birds appear on this page.
Award for best cage bird went to H. Finlay.
Gisborne breeder R. Herivel's New Zealand champion female fantail, judged the best pigeon in the show.
Best bantam was this duckwing pullet, from B. Smith, Waimata
F. Ferris, Upper Hutt, won best homing pigeon award.
