Pictorial Art

Members of the senior art pictorial class (below) add finishing touches to the evening's work. The "model" — a group of industrial tools & shapes — was used either for a pencil study of mechanical oddments or as the basis for interpretative paste painting.

Lighting of the group was placed to suggest shapes of an industrial area.

The full art course embraces landscape, still life and interpretative painting. Experimental techniques with oils are encouraged particularly so that the students express pictorially their ideas on a variety of subjects.

The instructor is Mr D. A. Olphert.
