Changing Face
The new shops at "Ballance Village" are now well ensconced on the local scene at the corner of Ormond Road and Ballance Street. The shops there include a bookstore, a cake shop, a children's wear store, and a fish shop.
The new bridge over Waikanae Creek to connect the Customhouse Street/Awapuni Road by-pass has been completed. Work is now progressing on road formation on either side of the bridge.
