Despite The Weather

Although a sudden change in the weather precluded the Gisborne and East Coast Asthma Society from holding its planned garden party at the Akers residence in Haronga Road the event was still a success. It was transferred to the Ilminster School Hall where the feature of the afternoon was a parade of children's wear from Ship'n Shore in Ballance Street. All the children modelling in the parade are either asthmatical or have a member of their family who has the condition.
