Despite The Weather
Although a sudden change in the weather precluded the Gisborne and East Coast Asthma Society from holding its planned garden party at the Akers residence in Haronga Road the event was still a success. It was transferred to the Ilminster School Hall where the feature of the afternoon was a parade of children's wear from Ship'n Shore in Ballance Street. All the children modelling in the parade are either asthmatical or have a member of their family who has the condition.
One of the cutest models is Belinda who is wearing an all-in-one outfit in burgundy, pink and brown.
Warren sports an orange, blue and white jersey with smart cream strides.
Albert models maroon trousers with a black and yellow sweater.
Anita teams a white wool top with a long red, white and blue seersucker skirt
Melissa models a cross-over white, orange and tan top with brown slacks
Enjoying a slice of watermelon during a break is Louise Smith
