An Open Day held on April 19 by the Mangapapa Play centre was a great success. Both mothers and fathers took the opportunity of seeing the playcentre in action where the children engaged in different activities to show the actual scope of the playcentre.

Inside the centre Mrs Madeline Saxby with daughter Nicky and Maree Ludlow (at the table) ponder on a puzzle.

At the woodwork bench Jimmy Tamatea andMichael Bailey help Michael's brother, Russell, with the construction of an aeroplane.

While Mrs Jean Johnston and son Ewan get on with some pasting up, Mr Graham Mudge and his daughter Anneliese discuss design problems.
