International Night
The impressive candle lighting ceremony was again held by the Gisborne Branch of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs during its International Night Dinner at Ulverstone. Candles were lit for other countries of the federation by each member of the group present.
The patroness, Mayoress Mrs H. H. Barker (who founded the Gisborne branch in 1957), lights the candle for the future.
