Hutchings' Good Win
Gisborne's top surfrider, Benny Hutchings, put in some telling rides to take the N.Z. Surf Riding Association's annual championship title here recently. The finals were held in Gisborne after an absence of surf forced a change of venue from Piha. Benny Hutchings' prizes included a trip to Victoria at Easter for the Bell's Open, and a trip to Hawaii for the Smirnoff, Duke Kahanamoko, and other surf contests in November and December.
