Sponsorship by the Eastern and Central Savings Bank, good entries, and fast times assured success for the first Gisbome Area Swimming Championships held in the Olympic Pool on February 12 and 13. All clubs participated with their best swimmers, thus making for exciting races and an interesting programme.
