Vision A Reality

The dream of a new clubhouse, backed by diligent fund-raising and hard slogging, came to fruition for the Wainui Surf Life-Saving Club on December 1, last year. The handsome new clubhouse was declared open by the chairman of the Lysnar Domain Board, Mr Terence Williams, before a very large crowd of Wainui Club supporters and friends.

Or the right plant in the right place at the right time, maybe! This fifteen-foot cactus, which actually, grew from a two inch pot, lends a touch of the old West to the Armstrong residence at 89 Birrell Street. Mind you, it has been growing for some time, 14 years in fact, but none-the-iess it is a pretty impressive plant.
