The very rare award of Grand Prior of St John was presented in Gisborne recently. The award was made to cadet Heather Stevenson and was presented by the district commissioner, Mr Len Jarvis of Napier.

The winner of Humphrey's Furnishers' Victa motor mower competition held recently was Mr Mala Paul of Patutahi. With his grandson Francis Maxwell he receives his new mower from Sunbeam Ltd's representative Keith Chapman (left) and Humphrey's salesman Allan McCullough.
