A Week in Wellington

A full programme occupied the time of the 35 students from the Gisborne Boys High School on their recent visit to Wellington. A tour of Wellington City, and visits to the Maori Education Office, the N.Z.B.C. Studios, the Polytechnic, Victoria University, and Parliament Buildings were some of the highlights of the visit south. The students, who have all done well in courses at school, were billeted with pupils and parents of the host schools, Petone Technical College and Wainui-o-raata College. The group, under the charge of Mr Harry Swann (left), departed on the railcar from Gisborne on the Sunday, returning on the following Friday.
