New Council Sworn In

The 12 city councillors, voted in from 30 candidates in this year's local body elections, were sworn in at the Council Chambers on October 23. Five seats were left vacant on the council by retiring members, which meant that five new councillors took their seats in the chamber along with the seven still-sitting members who were all returned.
