Open Slalom

Members of the Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club ventured south to Mangahao, near Shannon, to take part in an open canoeing slalom held there recently. The course is exceptionally good, having been especially built, and calls for a great degree of skill.

Other members of the club took off on a tramp recently and explored the caves at Maru-maru.

Canoeing on the local scene has also been receiving attention.
