Rich Gift

Rich in spirit, rich in artistry and rich in visual impact. These words describe these two unusual pictures entrusted to the care of Father Henry Tate of St Mary's Parish.

The pictures were made by Bill Peri of Auckland and were on display in St Mary's Star of the Sea Church recently. They are made up on glass, from coloured foil, and depict The Crucifixion and The Resurrection. Hours of work have gone into them with the central theme in strong colours being emphasised by the black background. The Maori motif at the edges sets off each framed work.
