The new tourist lay-by at Makaraka has been completed except for the grass areas, which have to be sown, and the display board edgings. Visitors to Gisborne are able to pull in off the road, look at the advertisements and study the location map, thus making it much easier to find their way around town when they actually arrive in the city.
