Seeing for Themselves

A party of 60 American cattlemen, and their wives, visited Gisborne recently in the course of a South Pacific tour conducted by the U.S.A. based Western Live Stock Journal. In Gisborne they went to the Acton, Waihuka and Turihaua Studs where, variously, parades of Hereford and Angus stock were put on for them.

At Turihaua Mr Bill Williams comments on stock in the parade for the visitors in the stand.

Quite a number of "ten gallon" hats accompanied their owners on the tour.

The keen interest taken in New Zealand stock by the Americans was backed up with plenty of camera coverage.
