Competed at New Zealand Championships

Home for two Weeks

These six members of the Gisborne Skating Club represented the club at the New Zealand Skating Championships held at Hamilton recently. They did pretty well too. From left are Judith Crosby, Susan Kirk, Judith Lister, Jane Duske, Louise Buchanan and Sandra Cumming. Judith Crosby took third place in the intermediate ladies' figures, Susan was second in the primary figures, first in the primary freestyle and second overall, and Jane was second in the junior figures.

Cynthia Boyle returned home from the United States recently for a two-week vacation. Cynthia has just completed her B.Sc. over there and goes back to the Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, to do a two-year course for her M.E.D. (Master of Education Degree). Fallowing that she is going for her Doctorate in Education/Psychology, The university has 25,000 students and the city of Provo also has a population of 20,000. Cynthia is the daughter of Mr and Mrs F. W. Boyle, 16 Argyll Street.
