It Ain't Necessarily so

Mrs A. E. Gordon of Atkinson Street is of the opinion that all state house owners and occupants should not necessarily be judged by a few of the "couldn't-care-less" types who occupy some of these homes. Somewhat exasperated by general comments in the air that people who occupy state residences are all of one ilk, Mrs Gordon invited "Photo News" to her house and garden to see that this was definitely not true!

As were numerous other homes in the locality, it was neat, with lawns mown and gardens blooming brightly.

Mrs Gordon also has a garden full of flowers, at the back of her section, many of which she grows for the sheer pleasure of giving away.
