Pot Pourri... Or Do You Read French?

Well, shades of Cloche Merle! With the announcement that the toilets in Derby Street are to remain open again at night (having been closed in the evenings because of vandalism - and the consequent use of back allies) surely the time has come for a change back to the very French type of watering place (so to speak) such as that used in Cloche Merle. In this day and age, of course, with everyone, well most everyone, not being imbued with a terrific sense of false modesty this type of toilet would not leave itself open to the ravages of vandals. It could be sited away from public scrutiny yet open enough to discourage any wanton destruction. Any problems with hygiene would be obviated by a continuous supply of running water. (A shortage? Oh!) Well Gisborne and Cloche Merle both grow a lot of grapes.. ("What's that got to do with it?") Oh well, never mind, ce la guerre! P.S. With ladies not being vandals (?) there shouldn't be any problem in that quarter anyway.
