From Makauri to Kaitawa

A total of 41 children and parent helpers spent one of the last school weeks of 1973 at Camp Kaitawa. These people were from the Makauri School and they spent a most interesting and enjoyable time in the country near Lake Waikaremoana. On their return a number of the group were presented with the Hawke's Bay Education Board's School Camp Committee Certificates, while others received Camp Certificates of Merit.
