Moments Musicale

An evening of music with Russ Garcia and his wife Gina was well attended in the Federated Farmers' Rooms on November 6. Russ Garcia was famous in Hollywood for his musical scores for films and television, and close musical collaboration with such stars as Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme and Louis Armstrong. However, the Garcias have given away the rat-race of Los Angeles and settled in the peace and quiet of Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands. Russ and Gina are members of the Baha'i Faith and really believe in working for peace and happiness in the world, particularly with their music. A positive approach when there is so much negativeness in the world - don't you think?
