204th Anniversary

The 204th anniversary of Captain James Cook's landing in New Zealand was celebrated on Sunday, October 7, at the Cook Monument, near Kaiti Beach. A very large crowd turned out for the service which is now held every two years.

Commodore N. D. Anderson, O.B.E., R.N.Z.N., Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, gave the address.
