< unclear >Good</ unclear > Dog!

The shortage of domestic servants has now become so commonplace that few people bother to look for them any more. Nevertheless, if you can get a good domestic servant, who will give long and faithful service for no pay, you are indeed fortunate.

What better than to come home after a hard day, sink down on the couch, and have your slippers and cigarettes brought to you? You have nobody to serve you that way, you say? The remedy is simple.

Just get a dog like Hans.

Hans is a 2-year-old dachshund with a dash of fox-terrior or something. His mistress, Mrs D. M. Dennis, Gladstone Road, who among other things is a member of the Hospital Board, has trained Hans to be a big help round the family home.

Not only does Hans do all the things pictured on these pages willingly and efficiently, and as many times as you want him to, but he does them all with an infectious gaiety which has endeared him to everybody who has seen him in action.

Hans is so keen he begs for something to do

"Have a cup of tea, Hans?" At this, he brings his own dish

And when he is finished, he puts the plate away

Afternoon tea over, Hans is asked to bring his owner's slippers. It takes him only a few seconds to bring them

"Cigarettes, please, Hans".
He quickly collects them from the mantlepiece......

Finally Hans sees to the complete comfort of his mistress by bringing her a book to read.
