How Cold is Cold?

Too cold for most, we reckon, on June 21. However, that didn't stop about 40 swimmers taking a dip in the briny at Midway on the shortest day of the year.

Promoted (or prompted?) by Radio Gisborne, the swimmers took to the water at 7.30 a.m. and a description of this world shivering event was broadcast l-l-l- live!
