Caving's the Caper

Tramping over the hills and venturing onto the underground caverns in the Gisborne-Wairoa area is just the caper for those who have a yen for exploration. Recently, members of the Y.M.C.A. Triangle Club went over the Mangaone Valley caves (not far from Morere), under the expert guidance of Dave Hughes, and had a great time exploring the numerous caves of that area.

Members of the club ready to explore. Another smaller party, led by the Hughes family, spent a day in the caves at Marumaru recently. These are near Frasertown.
