Tons of Talents

Unbounded talent came to the fore during the May holidays when Radio Gisborne and the Farmers Trading Co. staged a week-long contest. Eight acts took part in the finals, which were held in-store on Friday, May 18. The quest was based on personal personality, musical ability, voice and presentation.

The winners were Yvonne and Derek Biddle, whose rendering of "Life Of Me" just about brought the house down.

They are pictured with Radio Gisborne compere Arthur Toms (left) and Farmers Trading manager John Anderson. Their prize was a very neat transistor radio.
