$400 from Bikathon
Just on $400 was raised by those taking part in this year's Bikathon to raise money to assist young cyclists. The event was promoted by Lion Brown and some interesting faces were seen among those taking part.
The cyclists get away to a good start from D. J. Barry's, in Gladstone Road.
Back in Gisborne, after living in Australia for a while, erstwhile champion Neil Robinson gets ready to take part in the contest.

Speedsters Bernie Brown, of 2ZG fame, and sporting companion John Heikell were all smiles at the start!
